New Museum of Santiago. Public competition.

Entry for the New Museum of Santiago (NUMU) competition, beside Parque Bicentenario in Vitacura, in association with Elton Léniz and MCRJAG. The building presents itself as a silent, monochromatic volume wrapped in a screen that lets light through and allows the Park to enter a vertical entrance courtyard before becoming one continuous white-concrete hall. Exhibition rooms float above this hall, joined by a bridge and by a great stair that works as a grandstand connecting down to street level. A circulation core leads to the galleries, the auditorium, a circular basement courtyard and a rooftop sculpture terrace overlooking the Park and the San Cristóbal hill.
