Inhabiting the far south.

A shared plinth between the halls.

The founding building belongs to a campus planned to grow in stages on the upper part of the site, open to views of the Cinchao hills and Coyhaique National Reserve. The proposal gathers the library, auditorium and exhibition space within a public plinth and a courtyard planted with native species, the Patio de los Arrayanes. Two volumes for teaching and administration rise above it. Their arrangement draws on the gradual addition of buildings in southern Chilean estancias and shelters the outdoor spaces between them from the wind.

The project has an approved building permit. The university plans to issue a public tender for construction during 2026.
